ok, i've been eating and lifting for a while and i've got 10-15 pounds that i want to shed so that my abs can be more defined, as well as look more cut overall. i don't want to lose the muscle i've gained, hence the reason why i'm willing to try atkins instead of cardio. who's got some good links that'll guide me through the next month or so? (i only want to do this for the short term.....)

Umm..I don't wanna bash anything or anyone, but from what I've read and heard about, you don't need to do Atkins to lose that last bit.

Cardio will not, I repeat, will not make you lose the muscle you have. What you need to do is fill your diet with clean whole foods. Don't snack on chips, eat carrots, plain. (That may be extreme, but you get the point). Don't starve yourself, eat when you're hungry, but make sure what you eat is very healthy. Also, do cardio, as much as you can. You should be able to lose at least 10 of those lbs in the month, and gain muscle.

I was in a similar situation. Skeptical, but I tried it. I did read the book first.

I couldn't handle the diet. It made me terribly sick after just one meal. I just don't think I'm designed to eat that much protein.
