a nice little project...

It's pointless.

1. How do you solve the problem of the windshield being slanted and distorting the picture?
2. Even if you hang a screen from the headliner you'll be sitting about a foot away from the screen (front row at movie theater).
3. Needs to be dark outside to get a good picture. Useless during the day.
 
Install two, one for each headlight. Then have it set to turn on instead of your high beams (who uses high beams nowadays?)
 
OK this project is silly anyways but I'll chime in........ why not have a roller screen from over the dash at a 90 degree angle? it's manageable......mount the projector in the back and then roll screen down from the car's ceiling when you use it? Keep in mind the aspect ratio so I doubt you can get the whole view...just as big of a square you can manage in there.
