Hey guys,
I'm new to case modding, but super excited about it... I've ordered tons of stuff for my new case like cold cathodes, EL cable, Windows, DigiDoc, Leds, lit case badge kits etc... I was just wondering if the new 350W Enermax can handle all my stuff. All that lighting and stuff plus all the fans and 3 cdroms, 2 hd's and the mobo? Should I have a higher Wattage PS? Or does it matter?

Thanks,

New case is going to hold a P3 ? Cold cathodes, EL cable, LEDs all draw very low amounts of power (throw em all together and a modern HD will still draw more power - though I am not going to take the time to crunch the numbers). The window and digidoc are almost passive so I wouldn't worry about them. What you'd be concerned about is how many cd-rw drives, HD's, Athlon processors, etc. I have a P3, cold cathode, multiple enermax 80mm, multiple panaflow 120mm, 3 Deathstar HDs, and a burner running off a 350W Enermax. Works just fine for me, though I would probably go up a bump in wattage if I were running a P4 or Athlon system, to be on the safe side.

And of course, since you've ordered all that stuff, you really should try it out and see if it all works together before throwing in the towel.

Hey thanks for the advice,
Yeah I run an Athlon, an old 800Mhz Socket A. (2) 7200 RPM Drives , 2 cd-rw's and a DVD, NIC, 3D Prophet DDR-DVI, SB Live, One Cold Cathode (recieved today, very cool) and an ASUS A7VKT133 board.

I think the 350W will work fine, I just wasnt sure how much those other devices drew.

Thanks a lot.
