I don't overclock so I'd go with the 4400.

> 2 gigs DDR2 400 memory $228

AMD uses plain DDR PC3200 not DDR2

> $351 - geforce 7800 gt 256mb pci express
> $351 - geforce 7800 gt

Good choice if you wan to game at the full resolution of the 2005fp.

1) What ram runs faster. 4 x 512 dimms or 2 x 1 gig dimms?
2) PC3200. check. Any brands you recommend?

I dont overclock either. Do you like the monitor for gaming or have any other suggestions?

I believe 4 x 512 will drop down from 400 FSB to 333 on some mobos, but I don't follow the models enough to know which ones. Some motherboards also don't like the "value" ram, try reading a few of the other system threads for answers by people who've done more research than me :)

I'm quite happy with my Dell 2001fp (1600x1200) but it's rare to find good coupons for it.
