A MUST READ: The truth about Islam and Iran - LONG READ

Aimster

Lifer
If the United States wants to win the war on terror they need to start by attacking Iran. Many people will say Al Qaeda is in Iran, but they are not freely walking around and those in Iran are in jail. The reason to attack Iran is because not many of you will remember, but Iran once used to be our friend. Iran had close ties to Irsael and the United States for many years. It has even been said that Iran secretly helped Israel in the war, but no proof of this has come. The United States had a navy base in Iran and many Europeans and Americans could be seen walking freely on the streets.

Why the government fell: The Shah was a theif and a horrible leader. He was spending billions of dollars on defense (close to 40% of the GDP) and was also known to have been stealing the people's money. Iran was becoming a giant military power, but there is no reason as to why the Shah wanted to do this. While the people were free, there were many stories going around of torture and crimes against the people by the government. Money was being stolen by the Shah and his family for their own personal gain. The mullahs were able to gain control of the situation because the people had enough. The Shah was giving more love to the United States and Israel than he was giving to his own people. The whole structure of the current regime in Iran is based on this alone. They gained power by promising to cut ties with these two nations and give the people their country back. To show you just how much the Shah loved his own people he ran when he could have stayed to fight for his own country (coward).

Iran is not a Iraq. Iran's economy is far more superior than that of Iraqs. In the early 1970s Iran was the 13th on the GDP list and was expected to reach the top 10 in the 80s. Imagine what Iran could do to the Middle East if it is free and democratic.

More than 80% of the Iranians in Iran today do not even remember the revolution and many were born after it. The country is run by the Mullahs who took control of Iran and spread their hate. Power is given to those who support the regime. Speaking out against the government is a common site in Tehran, especially at the universities. Hangings are common and many political leaders involved in the protest are sentenced to death or hangings.

Do the majority of Iranian's hate the U.S? No. 50% of Iranians speak English as their second language and wish to come to the United States. When 9/11 happend Iranians spread to the street to mourn the victims of 9/11 - >
Pictures/Article of Iranians after 9/11
Article/Pictures of students r...against the government

The Mullahs have banned certain members from running for congress because they do not agree with their political views. The reform President who was backed by the majority of the people could not do what he promised to do because every measure he took was striked down by the Ayatollah who has the final say in all state matters.

There are 1,000,000 Iranians in the United States (majority of them in California). 250,000 of them are Jewish or Christian and the others are moderate Muslims. We have never been so much devoted to this presidential election than ever before. Although the Iranian Muslims in the U.S do not believe in the majority of what Islam says they still say they are Muslims. President Bush has done all he can do for the Muslims in the U.S. He has reached out and supported the Muslims when the rest of the country wanted to throw rocks at them. He always has Muslim speakers and attends Muslim events. He even told Europe to let Turkey into the EU. John Kerry the man I was going to vote for the man I volunteered for has done nothing for the Muslim community and is weak. At a rally in Ohio his running mate said that he would give Iran a chance to make a deal regarding their nuclear ambitions. A chance? He lost my vote and all respect for the democratic party. ELECT PRESIDENT BUSH AND YOU WILL HAVE A FREE WORLD WITH NO MORE RELIGIOUS HATE. Muslims will be friends with the United States. Elect John Kerry and you will have a world that hates the U.S and is ruled by these extremist Mullahs.

Attack Iran and Iran will become the next Israel for the United States in the Middle East as it once was. The Iranian people have pride and really do not wish for an outside source to attack their country therefore bomb the hell out of the current regime and help the people of Iran achieve their democracy. Support the student demonstrations and do not let the government win. Californian Iranians are sending out satellite shows to the people of Iran to help them riot, but Iran with the help of Cuba is able to block the signals from ever getting there.

Imagine if the U.S was run by the Church. How do you think we would live now? Now imagine the middle east being run by Mullahs. No need to imagine they have taken control.

After doing much research ... I am going to show you all the real Islam. There is no need to bash me or tell me otherwise. I am simply pointing out facts.

Islam is not a bad religion. It is a peaceful religion, but certain individuals have used the religion for their own cause. They are spreading hate using a holly book and justifying their actions because of it. Obviously not all Muslims go and cut themself. The leaders of the middle east need to change if the world is ever to become a safer place. Muslims and Christians and Jews live together in the United States with no problems. Muslims and Europeans live together with no problems. Muslims in the Middle East live under hateful leaders that will continue to lead and spread hate so long as they remain in power. The majority of Muslims are not Arab or Persians, yet you continue to hear about the violence coming from the Arab Muslims. Why? Their leaders run the show.

It is our duty to protect our kids. We are a civilized country and we do not go and bomb the entire population to get rid of the hate. We need to go and establish democratic governments in the Middle East and the civilized people will come out and show these extremist a thing or two.

There are extremists in any religion. That doesn't mean all followers of a religion are the same.

Muhammad Ali is a Muslim. Do you think he wants to cut peoples' hands off and enslave women?

But how do we go about it? It sounds like you know quite a bit about the situation. Do you think applying diplomatic pressure will work? Can we incite the Iranian people to hold a revolution? What action exactly would it take to topple the current government without resorting to gross military action on our part?

but Iran with the help of Cuba is able to block the signals from ever getting there.

Must be all that tinfoil............

I dont really think that making a blanket statement like this help Arab-Americans in anyway whatsoever...

Do those extremist run the country? No.

Muslim extremist rule the M.E. Like I said the majority of Muslims are not Arab only 25% of them are Arabs. The rest of the Muslims of the world you hear nothing about because they are not ruled by these extremist mullahs.

Self contradictory. Plus Israel is a burden, not an ally. Turkey is already in the role you propose Iran might be able to fill.

Muslims in Dearborn hate Bush; your assertion is a direct contradiction of my direct experience. Also the thought that Christian fundamentalist can somehow end religious hate is ironic. Muslim extremists currently aren't our friends under Bush, and never will be under anybody.

But aren't they at least mistrustful of the US because we took sides against Iran in the Iran-Iraq war?

Nice contradiction in your post. Do extremists rule the M.E. or not?

Sanctions will not work because Europe is not against Iran. Only the U.S and Israel are against Iran. I highly doubt the U.N will agree to sanction Iran as Iran has never been a threat to anyone except Israel.

It is only a matter of time however that a regime change will come, but it can happen a decade sooner with the help of the United States. The weapons are at the hand of the Mullahs' armies. The people of Iran are not allowed to own weapons. Having a gun in Iran without being part of the police force is a severe crime.

With the broadcast that the U.S is supporting the regime, the military will collapse with only the 20,000 loyal republian guard defending the regime against a population of 80 million.

So long as people see the President of the United States as fundamentalist Christian bulldozing through the middle east on a crusade, there will be hate and terrorism. It doesn't matter the motives - we can yell how it's for the good of man and we're only trying to help, they will only see it as imperialism.

Pat Buchanan, that nut in a shell, put it succinctly: "Terrorism is the price of imperialism."

I was wrong in my post that is why I made this thread. Knowing the history of Iran now and knowing what the people of Iran think I support my current viewpoint.

So if Kerry gets elected, terrorism will go away because he's not a 'fundamentalist Christian?' Calling our invasion of Iraq or Afghanistan imperialism is ignorant in many ways. As I've said before, the US would love nothing more to be out of those countries, IF they could support themselves without us holding them up.

Turkey might be there, but Iran was what Israel is today in the 1970s. Israel.Iran and the United States were one big loving family in the Middle East. It was once possible and it could be possible again.

The Iranians during the Iran/Iraq war are old and do not remember what was going on. The majority of Iran are teenagers who do not remember the revolution.

The pictures speak the truth. If people here think I am going against a religion then you are mistaken. My Entire family is Muslim and we have a Quran sitting right next to my doorstep. It would do me no good to bash a religion my family believes in.

My whole point of the pictures was to show you how the extremist think. The extremist are the ones with the power. The are the minority.

I don't think so. And us going in and establishing democratic countries in the Middle East, presumably by force is your suggestion, is NOT the right way to do it.

IF Iran persists they will have the entire world against them.

Come on, don't resort to strawman. I didn't say Kerry is magic because he's not a fundie, and I certainly didn't say the invasion of Afghanistan was imperialism; that is what many people in the world perceive the invasions as, and that is what breeds the hatred. Like I said, our motives for invasion don't matter, others will see it as the big bad US beating on the little guy and they will react as such.

I also don't think Iran is the epicenter of Islam extremism, and honestly believing it could be "another Israel" once conquered is ludicrous.

The world was established with wars.

The people of Iran want the U.S to attack them. The Iranians in the U.S want the U.S to attack them. Many agree with you that this is an Iranian problem and that the Iranians need to fix it themself.

Do you disagree to the U.S invading Iran's airspace and broadcasting messages to the people to revolt? Once a revolt takes place are you also against the U.S attacking the part of the Iranian government that are against the uprising (Republican Guard, 20,000 strong).

How sure are you of this? It won't happen and if it does then you will prove me wrong. Iran is full of European goods and Europe and Iran have constant visits yearly with a friendly/modest relationship. It is in Iran's best interest to have diplomatic relations with Europe as it has been isolated from U.S. The talks right now are to resolve the situation. It is not at the table yet and when it gets there then we can see if they will do it.
