I miss the "real world," i.e., life off campus, my car, and a real job. 🙁

I should've went to a local school.

This is the real world buddy
No, this is a secluded campus that I'm at 24/7, separate from the real world.

Parents not making your food, cleaning your dishes, doing your laundry, stealing your subway subs. Life is rough.

Well I live off campus and it's got it's disadvantages too. It kinda feel like high school. Once you are done with your classes you come home. I was in a dorm in the summer and it wasn't like that at all.

Hmmm ...

Real World
Get up at 6 am every weekday.
Go to work every day.
Lots of bills and responsibility.
Fewer opportunities to meet members of the opposite sex.
Getting drunk every night means you're an "alcoholic."

College
Wake up at noon every day (maybe).
Go to class when you feel like it.
Responsibility?
Can't walk two steps without tripping over hot coeds.
Getting drunk every night means you're a "fraternity brother."

God I miss college.

what exactly about the "real world" do you miss? If you're making the most of college, you shouldn't have enough time to yearn for other things.

hhaha

What the?

What did he say that had anything to do with this stuff?

He was talking about his social life.

It had nothing to do with his everyday responsibilities.

Nice try though.

Uhh...not having a car? Living in a town where the main features are a Wal-Mart and a one-screen movie house? Those might have somthing to do with it.

I would love living in my own place and having a normal job outside of school.

Those are honestly not a problem. I don't want to be living at home still, I just hate being locked in this campus.

so...

whyd you choose this place?

I know what you mean...although I live only 1.5 hours away. Just use the time to get to know the people in your hall, or study really well so you do fine later on.

Ultimately living on campus really secluded me from a lot of things, including the news and the outside world (luckily I started reading a lot of online news so that helped with that part). It doesn't suck, you just have to get used to a new situation...thats all
