Yop a month ago, i receice my strabismus operation( my eye were not looking in the same way ).

I had to do general anastesia...The operation went well and the recovery seem so far ok.

Here is a few pics!

Before

2 hours after the operation

Oh yeah Koroshiya, i nearly look cooler than you!

5 days later.....it fvckin hurt agrhhhh....

Taken like a week ago....yop it healing well!!!

I was really scare of doing the operation and doing general anastesia but it was the easiest thing in the world. If you have to do a surgery.....dont hesitate..i am soo happy now.My eye is still not at 100% of its vision still...but it keep getting better and better

I had surgery for my Pterygium.
Its caused by the sun and wind, and since i surfed so much as a kid,it was bad.

After surgery its back to normal.

I tell you what sucks, is when your eye is still numb after surgery. You try to look straight, but your numb eye is looking at the ground..... Think about that.

BTW, congrats on that surgery, my step brother had that done. Boy, what a happy camper he was.... :D

Congrats. 11 years ago I had eye surgery on my left eye to remove a very large cataract. Since cataracts cannot (at today's level of technology) be removed from the lens, the lens is destroyed in the process of disintegrating and removing the cataract. Thus, an optical implant lens was put in place of my biological lens. Only problem is that the implant lens cannot flex, and thus I will need glasses for the rest of my life (Been wearing glasses since I was 3 years old, so I don't see a problem with this. chicks dig geeks in glasses ;)).

And btw, I'm currently 21. You do the math on when I had the surgery ;). General anesthesia for me, obviously, considering how young I was. Afterwards, I had to stay the night in the hospital b/c due to a reaction to the anasthesia (and me being under for much longer than expected. the 1.5 hr. operation turned into a 3 and some hour operation b/c the cataract had coned) that meant I couldn't keep anything down in my stomach. Much fun, much fun (yeah right. when your mouth waters when watching cornflake commericals, you know you're REALLY hungry).

How it work.Well they had to strech one of the muscle on one side of the eye and loose the muscle on the other side.Simple operation( the eye surgeon said) that took about 45 minutes.

There is a risk that the eye can return to his previous position, but that can take years. When i was born at the age of 3 , i got an operation because my eye were like this : -------> .I got both eye operated, but because i was young, there was a risk that they have some problem.Luckily, i only got problem with one eye, and around the age of 22-23...one of my eye decide to stop working and only my right eye was doing the work of looking. So with time, my left eye became lazy and decide to go the other way because he was not working.

I have small chance now that it happen again. When i decide to do the surgery and visit a doctor about that..i was 29...and i only waited 5 month before i got the surgery.

I was just scare when i was like 25-26 about doing that surgery. But i was sick about people laughing at me because of my fvkin eye.

Thanks now, i look normal.Im now happy and not shy to look at people stright into the eyes. Before that...i was always fixing them for oner second and looking down directly before they notice.

Honestly, that is really sad that people laughed at you because of something that you couldn't help. People suck.

I had the surgery on my right eye so my left was fine and not numb. They told me to take the patch off 6 hours later, i did in front of a mirror. Well my left eye was looking straight into the mirror, while my right eye was looking at my feet.
Its really hard to explain what it does to your brain when two eyes that always look at the same thing started to send two different pictures to my brain. I freaked out (was still high on pain drugs) and put it (patch) back on until the next day when it wore off.
Eye surgerys are so sketchy.... Congrats again.

Hhehe yeah he must have been happy after.

Its incredible how much this little detail can affect me.I was having difficulty to look into the girls eye because of this...so because of this problem, i was losing confidence in myself.

Little things like this can change your life, seriously.Happy to heard that your bro operation made him happy :)

Thanks :)

It didnt really stop to work( i was still having 100% of my vision with it) but it was no more co-working with my right eye.My right eye is going the job of looking everywhere.I fix something, and my right eye is looking at it, no mather what position i was.And with time, my left eye deflect of his position...because it was now useless since my right eye was stronger and doing all the job

Its a really weird feeling. With time you get used to it.I was use of looking only with one eye.And my left eye was giving more vision on my left side( but nto a real vision....reallly hard to explain seriously.I dont wish you that.

I have intermittent alternation.. as in I don't see in stereo.

I can see independently with my left eye and right. I kind of have a similar thing, one eye is always a bit off. I use my left eye to look at the computer or things close to me and my right eye for far distances and when talking to people. I have had 7 eye surgeries growing up to fix it and never made it go away, it always came back. Now that I am much older I might give it a shot again because it's really annoying.

You should give it a shot. Its a very easy operation. And if the 7 surgeries you had in the past never fix it, maybe this time it can be the good one.

And yeah my poster is indeed ICHIIII THE KILLER! :D
