A moment of silence please for my brand new XP1600+ that burned up on re-entry (to my new system). I connected the L1 bridges, put on the HSF, pushed the button, and poof, a nice faceful of acrid smoke.

Don't know what the problem was, but I guess that teaches me to try some higher level overclocking. I'll just stick with FSB from here on out.

I sure hope my mobo is OK. No way to test it until my replacement CPU arrives.
