Bow your head in silence, with respect for Pierre Trudeau, who was one of the nation's greatest men, forming Canada to his vision. Although he may have done some harmful things, he had done many immensely useful things for us Canadians. Immigration was quite high, also. Trudeaumania was a right for this noble man, may God bless him in the afterworld.

I've studied him only in books (I was way too young to see him in his prime...was 4 years old when he left politics). The more I study him, the more I realize the guy was a genius. He was a forward thinker, with an absolutely incredible vision for what he though Canada should be.

Because of Trudeau, Canada is not just a country, but a way of life. No other country in the world affords people as many human rights, such a good quality of life, and ability to keep their heritage and still be 100% Canadian. Trudeau was instrumental in establishing the Canada that we Canadians have grown to love.

Economics is everything right? Who cares that you have a Charter of Rights and Freedoms, as long as you've got an extra $10 in your pocket.

Inflation was rampant across North America...there was nothing unique about Trudeau's overspending during that period, that you couldn't also witness in the United States.
