Just had to toss this out there to share. We took the kids to Taco Bell, got one of those plastic Taco Bell drink cups. On the side of the cup was some weird code, a scannable code. Instructions on the cup said to download the free scanner app for most smart phones, and then scan the code to get free music. So we did and it did. I thought wow, like a modern day Cracker-Jack prize, without the choking on the prize. The app is called QR Reader. Having lived throughout the old Cracker Jack days when we looked forward to that prize in the box, this is really neat. Makes me feel a little outdated, but the kids loved it. Who thinks of this stuff?
Im sure other fast food probably have the same thing on their cups and whatever. And this QR Reader app is available for probably most smart phones. We just happen to have iPhones. I just couldn't help thinking of the old Cracker Jack prize in a box days as a kid, and now this for kids of today. Very novel!
