Question A mined 2080TI for 2 months,or an old card 1080ti used for constant gaming?

Cheers to all,
These day i have a few offers of video card to buy. One is Asus Dual Fan Rtx 2080Ti,the other one is KFA2 2080TI and last one is Msi gtx 1080Ti Gaming X.Each 2080Ti cards is in price range of ~300$.Gtx 1080Ti i found in range price of 200$. I discuss with sellers and told me the truth , he used both rtx 2080ti in MINING for 2 months. 🙁
On the other hand 1080Ti card was used only for gaming.As far as i know, the Mining operation is bad for any gpu video card right?.The sellers told me he used both card 2080ti at mining in a Ventilated room with constant ambient temperature for 2 month,and never reach 65 degree,and he claims there are in perfect condition and i can test each card with Furmark stability test program, before i buy.

I want an advice from you all,because i don't know what to do.My dillema is: is better to buy a NEW and mined card like rtx 2080ti or old card like MSI 1080ti used only for gaming??What option is better?

2080Ti.
No gaurentee the 1080 was not mined.
So i would assume both cards mined.

I would assume cards were mined on more then 2 month.
At least a year during the pandamic / COVID lockdowns.

But the thing about Miners is we downvolt EVERYTHING, and try to vent the room out like someone who has OCD with heat.

I would get either of 2080ti. Galax is a reputable company in South East Asia, if you never heard of it.

I would buy new Thermal Pads and Thermal Interface Medium.
I would repad the gpu, re-Tim it as well.
Give that Heat sink a good Compressed Air blow out.

And i would enjoy it until you can afford a 4000 series in the future, as the 3000 series brought a food in the new door, but the 4000 actually took that first step past it.

If possible ask the Seller to post a GPU-Z memory shot.
Look at memory type for the 2080ti.
If the ASUS has Micron... avoid it.
If the Galax has micron Avoid that too.
You want a 2080ti with Samsung or Hynix Memory.

i never heard about KFA company at video card segment.they are ghost company? 🙁

I think they are another SEA company or possibly EU.
A lot of the SEA vendors we never saw because the tariffs are too expensive for a small vol distributor.
But they have a lot nice stuff, like Yeston, Galax.

Just make sure you grab a 2080ti that is not running Micron's as memory.
A simple GPU-Z will tell you what type of Ram it has:

Do not get MICRON's.. You will cry when you start seeing space invaders.

There was a issue with the micron supply when the 2080's were out.
They changed the ram to Samsung and Hynix.
But there are a lot of card with Micron GDDR still out in the wild.

New card with micron are OK tho.
It was just a batch when the 2080's were in production.

i understand,the problem with Micron was only on 2080 production not on all generation of cards...
