Mel Brooks has made many funny comedy movies over the years. This one is a comedy movie, but not that funny.

Mel brooks couldn't have done better.

Any random 30 second segment of Blazing Saddles had more laughs in it than the entire Million Ways to Die movie. I like most of Seth's stuff, but this flick was spectacularly unfunny. For every gag that worked there were 20 that didn't.

A friend texted me today and recommended this movie.

He likes all the movies I can't stand.

I enjoyed it, had a good few laughs in it and seemed well produced. Same old cliche story but you really can't do much about that.

Didn't like it, was more tolerable/better than Ted but still didn't like it. My favorite line wasn't even really a "funny" line, it was when the girl said she was from Kansas City and Seth's character says something like "Oh, Kansas!" then she says "No, Missouri" to which Seth says something like "Oh.. that's needlessly confusing" or something. The delivery was good from what I can remember.

After watching the preview I'm not thinking this would be worth the time, most of the humor seems to be sight-gag's and not much else. Mel Brooks may rest easy, his "Blazing Saddles" will probably never be de-throned as the king of all western-comedies, yea, "Blazing Saddles" relies on sight-gags as well but the writing, casting, and ballsy-for-the-times screenplay will always stand miles above this type of "juvenile appeal" effort.

Set MacFarlane needs to come up with new gags. That's why Family Guy got old quickly and his movies are literally just Family Guy episodes.

This movie had too much complaining about the real life old west as opposed to the movie west.

Thanks for that.

Blazing Saddles still a classic in my mind, and not really a Sarah Silverman fan.

After watching the Mike and Jay review, nah.

I finally saw this at a friend's house last night. I really wanted to like it, but it was painfully bad in so many places. Charlize Theron gives me a Texas sized chubby, however.

Yea, mixed reception, I would like to watch it, but was planning to wait for netflix streaming or to DVR it whenever it gets shown in 10 years on TV.
