I was just watching the news on a Montreal French network and they were talking about an upcoming show later today by Justin Timberlake. They showed bit of his videoclips and that reinforced a feeling I've had for quite a while.
-Same kind of voice as Michael Jackson? Check.
-Same kind of dance moves and crotch grabbing as Michael Jackson? Check.
-Same kind of physical stature as Michael Jackson? Check.
-Same kind of songs as Michael Jackson? Check.
-Same kind of origin (boy band) as Michael Jackson? Check.
Seems to me that JT is a recording-industry clone of MJ. Still, Justin is wildly popular unlike Michael nowadays. I guess we can attribute this difference to the weirness factor of the latter.
