I NEED HELP.

I'm trying to post in Tech Support because a Norton install messed up my computer such that the "new topic," "profile," etc buttons no longer work. I lost a lot of other functions as well. Could someone start a new thread for me over there? I appreciate it.

This is probably because you have javascript disabled on your browser. You can't start new threads, check PMs etc without it. Try reenabling this.

Edit: Also make sure you tell Norton Firewall (I'm assuming that's what you installed) to allow popups from "*.anandtech.com" because the javascript creates popup windows, which a popup blocker will prevent from opening.

Thanks a lot, Fern. The deal is that somethign became corrupt - I can no longer press the buttons at the top of the page, or log into certain websites requiring a username and a password. It appears that the button is not pressable on these sites - it doesn't make the "click" noise when I press.

Also, I lost the Outlook Express opening screen, if that makes any sense. Once the program opens, there should be a "welcome screen for (name)". Now, its only a blank white page. Any ideas would be appreciated.

No problem. Was it the popup blocker?

Nah, Javascript was actually corrupted. I found the install file on microsoft.com and reinstalled.
