A mechanic is me!!

So, for followers of my Quirky Car experiences, you should know the car slips into nuetral on left turns, but otherwise runs fine going straight and to the right. Well, wife was gettin a fire in her crouch (Pun: Shes a redhead....ha...ha) to get a new car or fix the old one. Fine fine, I went to look at it. Didnt take long after popping the hood to see a tranny swap wasnt high on my list of things to do this weekend. Went and bought a bottle of Tranny Conditioner stuff and some tranny fluid. Checked the dipstick, half way between low and hi. Well, that wasnt the problem.... Put in a bottle of tranny conditioner and half a bottle of Mercon, after 50 miles she's purrin like a kitten now.

Can we fix it?

Dunno, other then it would slip into nuetral if you made a left turn. Whatever it was, its fixed now thanks to some tranny conditioner. However, I have this bad feeling a new transmission will be in the near future for that car....

Normally I would agree. However, after much deliberations with the wife it MIGHT be a go for Daddy's new car if the current one is fixed into a near new condition. To sum...
If I engine / tranny swap the old car to make it a "new" car (As mechanics is all thats wrong with it) instead of spending the money on a new car for the wife, I can buy my RX-7.....

This lends one much motivation to do some mekanikin under the hood of the car.......

My wife in high school had a bronco that used to do that. She could never turn left or she woudl have to stop, hop out, crawl under and fix it.

She could get anywhere in town eventually with the appropriate amount of right turns.........😀
