Is it worth having? I'd have to do it on my own time, but if I understand correctly... it is worth a couple bucks... so, is it worth it?

I was reading a bit... here..... but i'd like to hear from some people in the "real world".

Thanks

YES
I have NET + and A+ certs and it boosted my pay by 3 dollars an hour. MCSE should boost it a bit more of course.

I'll get absolutely no increase in salary.. I'm just a tech support agent.. Its just something they offer at.. *giggle* "Stream University".

I'm just asking.. I was curious because I think of it like this... I'm going to learn about a specific operating system that won't be in primary use in X years/months.. so ...

Ah well, it'll be neat to have on my resume..

How hard was it for you people that are already understood a lot about hardware/software?

Go for it. dotnet server is coming up. Sharpen your skills. That is a money maker. Learn XML. A+ is a joke. If you know anything about PC's and can build one, A+ is a dud. MCSE is worth every minute of your time and attention, if you plan to advance beyond junior level tech support swapping out dead floppy drives.

I took A+, cost me nothing as my work pays for any schooling I want to take. I had built a few PC and that was about all I knew and the hardware part of the class was a breeze. The software was not my strong point. but I got something out of it so maybe you will too.

Hmm, I don't.. really, I mean its nice to have these skills to fall back on, but my primary interest is in design and animation. I just thought it'd look good when applying to any computer related job... I don't swap floppies.. I help dolts regain access to the internet so they can post on forums.. and.. uhh.. whoops :D

Thanks for the input folks.
