Lake Powell, man made reservoir, just across the Arizona border in Utah. Lone Rock beach.

I didn't plan to go swimming, but we found a place with a beach where a bunch of RVs could drive right up to the "shore." I had no bathing suit, so I just stripped down to my boxers. I didn't even have a damn towel, and it was windy when I came out. I survived, but, yes, there was shrinkage. (I was the only one in the water, lol.)

The large Mexican family seated around a big outdoor table two RVs down? They probably drew their young children closer at the sight of this crazy beloved patriot limping down to the lake in his boxers. No police were called.

you're just having a good old time. I need to do a road trip. Haven't done one in a while. I'm jealous.

Interesting scenery. If you told me it was the middle east, I wouldn't be surprised.

A reservoir? hmmmmmm.

Nice. I'm happy for you, swimming in my drinking water.j/k

I once drove the high elevated Cabot Trail around Cape Breton. At the top of the Trail the highway split into dirt road winding down to the shore. I swam in the Atlantic at North End and quietly floated around for a bit. There was nothing between me and the white cliffs of Dover. I could feel it.
