Only 1 week til it's out. Seems like any converation on the card has dried up on here.

There's not much to say about the 9800 Pro, it's just a faster version of the 9700 Pro.
Its more than just a new clock speed. The core is slightly different, and now supports a pixel/vertex shader features set better than the GF FX.

and better AA and AF performance, which is nice since the 9700pro had the best out anyways

9-10% AA/AF performance increase when clocked at the sames speeds as the 9700 Pro, that's pretty dam impressive if you ask me.

The same performance increase the 9700pro will see with Cat 3.3. Until ATi lifts its NDA on the R350's core specifics, I'm still betting its just a higher clocked R300.

How much are you willing to bet? I would be surprised if all these sites previewing the 9800 Pro would have the facts wrong that the core was tweeked for boosted performance in the eyecandy arena. If that's merely due to drivers, then I think I'm gonna have to go after a 9700 for sure! Something tells me that most likely will not be the case, however...
