A lot of good shows on TV this season.

are we finally getting away from those stupid reality shows?

are the networks starting to reassert their place?

heroes, studio 60, what about brian, brothers and sisters, the nine, six degrees are just some of the shows i've seen at least one episode of and look pretty interesting.

Notice that everything isn't a reality tv show... i think they're finally starting to "get it". We're f-ing sick of them!

After the success of shows like Lost, Grey's Anatomy, The Office, My Name Is Earl, etc. and the lower ratings of these reality shows the networks are back to making actual shows.

You forgot smith, standoff, vanished, and jericho. Oh wait, nevermind, those shows blow monkey chunks.

There may be other good shows, but none of the ones I listed are in that list. The above shows range from bad to abysmal. Smith was cancelled after 2 episodes.

Lost

Earl

It's funny that shows 2 & 3 seasons in are considered "classics".

Shark is another good show. I like Jericho as well.

I can't stand The Nine though. That is the only show so far this season that I began watching and refuse to watch again.

This is the only reason why I watched the first 2 episodes
Looks waaayyyyyy better as a blond.
When she was in Everwood, I thought she looked familiar cause she was the hot one in the NEW Save by the Bell.

She has filled out a bit but still fine as hell.
Don't think the show will survive though going against CSI.
Those 2 better hook up fast before the show get cancelled.

"Classics" as in, "these shows debuted strong and are generally well liked by the audiences and/or critics."

Or were you expected me to name off shows like The Honeymooners, I Love Lucy, and The Price is Right? :D

Smith is a good show and it was actually 3 episodes that aired. And the TV guide in my area shows a new episode on tonight so I don't know what to make of that.

Vanished is also entertaining IMO, but Jericho blows. I will have to catch Vanished on torrents now cause no way in hell I'm watching a show on Friday night.

Standoff is interesting, but they need to ditch the romantic sub-plot. It's nauseating at best.

My wife and I are watching Heroes and Jericho out of the new shows. My wife was recording Vanished but I think she stopped.

My favorite new shows this season have been Happy Hour, Jericho and Standoff. Not to mention that House and Law&Order: SVU are maintaining high standards as always. I haven't had a chance to watch Heroes yet, but it sounds good.

Over the summer the best shows were Kyle XY and Psych.

Smith might have looked awful to me because I watched Thief, the miniseries on FX, which was better in every conceivable way.

Vanished is entertaining I guess, but it's really blatantly manipulative and cashing in on the mystery serialized show thing that Lost brought back into popularity.

Vanished isn't that bad at all. We'll see what they do with the plot now that they've had three weeks off and have a main character who could be dead...
