A friend of mine makes a pilgrimage to Indianapolis pretty regularly for the running of the Indy 500. Curiously he doesn't stay around for the race, but rather wanders around the pits and prep areas in the days before the race.

He just posted a lot of details, behind the scenes and photos on the tech side of everything, which I found rather interesting and thought I would share.

He also has a couple other posts on his Indy 500 trip, as well as many good car-related posts. He is a veteran mechanic and racing enthusiast, currently driving a carefully modified Evo IX. Enjoy
