Network: NETGEAR 54Mbps Wireless PCI Ethernet Adapter with Speedbooster (N/A previous PC)

Accessories: Ipod 15gb, Nikon Coolpix Coolpix 3100 (4.0 MP)

TOTAL COST: $1179.61

Need to find a nice LCD flatscreen, 19-20inch with low response times. Probably will order a Dell when they go on sale.... Their were lots of temptations throughout this build, I was seriously considering 6800 GT SLI, and an FX55. But common sense and my wife brought me down to earth, funniest thing she said is why is this whole thing costing us $1300 without a monitor when we can buy a new Dell complete with monitor for $600.... no comment! :)

Looks like an excellent system. Yeah, sometimes the significant other just don't understand... As for the 20.1 in Dell 2001FP, I would strongly recommend it. You can routinely get it for 600 or less nowadays, with coupons and free shipping, etc. It has 16ms pixel response times, and a resolution of 1600x1200 native. It's sweet.

Thanks all. Machine350 I took like that Hyundai L90D+ the response times are awesome. The only reason i'm leaning towards the Dell is the higher resolutions it supports. That said I was given a budget of $1700, and with what i've spent so far that monitor might blow it. So I might have to go the Hyundai instead.

Any idea's of how this thing will bench in 3D Mark and other apps? Anyone got a similar setup?

Nice system!

FWIW, my son bought the Hyundai L90D+ and it is performing excellent for him. He's a hard core gamer and I have not noticed any ghosting with this monitor. It looks good, performs great. The 8ms response time is awesome. I am definately jealous. Of course I have to go out and buy one now. I just have to pick the right time to get it by the wife ;) He was lucky and got in on the $340 CompUSA deal a couple of months ago.

Well I have a very similar setup (mobo, vid card, monitor, dvd-rw) just look at the rig in my sig, and I'm very very happy with the performance I'm getting out of it. Nice to see a new builder going with MSI over DFI for once too, you'll see a low 5000 3d05 score at stock and might be able to push 5500-5800 with OC'n. Good thing you have a wife and enough "common" sense to not go with a 6800GT right now and settle for the X800XL like me, you won't be dissapointed, SM3.0 on the Hyundai at 12x10 is not even needed at this point. Good choices all around, good luck with no DP's and RMA's.
