A log on question from a newbie.

Hey guys here is my first post be gentle. 🙂 Anyway I am running 98 at home. I have an AMD K62 400. I am using a cable modem and not sure if when the installer put in the software he trigured this but the system asks me to log in to the network every time I reboot the computer. I can click default and no password to log on without it but is there a way to loose the log on screen. Thanks for the help.

In control panel -> network, set the primary logon to "Windows Logon". Then reboot. If it asks for you a password just press enter, then reboot again. If that still doesn't work, then delete all the .pwl files in your windows directory and reboot again.

Hope this helps 🙂

Yeah, this happened because he installed a Network Interface Card. That requires Win98 to start it networking drivers. I've never tried to disable it.
