A locked BIOS??

I have an OC'd PII 333@416. Since my multiplier is locked, I run the FSB at 83. It runs steady as a rock at 416, the CPU temp never reaches above 42C. But if I try to set the FSB to 100Mhz, the machine won't even boot, just keeps beeping. I get the impression that it doesn't even "try" to run, just gets a signal that its above capability. Anyone know of any BIOS settings I should try setting to disable this alarm? I have a SOYO 6BA+ Mobo BTW.

Some motherboards only give you a certain range of FSBs if it detects your processor as a 66 or 100.....ie FSBs below 100 if it is a 66 or FSBs above 100 if it is 100.

To get around this, you can always try the B21 taping pin trick, or you can look for a new BIOS and see if they removed this limitation.
