c'mon .. really? does this need to be asked of a "professional website" to not sound like you're a facebook or twitter blog?

Folks, and folkettes (both of you) we were the victims of a serious forum breach early this morning, possibly from aliens, we're not sure.

(1) I'm sure the females of the forum took offense at the suggestion there's only two of them on the website.

(2) The website was HACKED.. either due to incompetence, or social networking.. but it was HACKED. To say it was "breached by aliens" reeks of incompetence.

If i sent out a notice to the company when a server goes down saying "the server went down, or it took a lunch break, or it was out partying" .. i'd be looking for a new job 2 minutes after that. Why? because it's not professional.

And seriously?
The servers will not be down for maintenance, unless of course they are down for maintenance

not an exact quote, but close enough.. this is almost acknowledging your DBA's are incompetent.. you're saying. we're not gonna crash, unless we crash.. we don't know if we're gonna crash, cuz we suck at our job.

Think about the message you're sending.

this was covered already:

But I have to agree with guyver01 on this one. A little more information would help then this confusing "funny" message they wrote on the top.

heaven forbid they try to inject some humor in this cold, electronic forum.

it gives this place a more human aspect.
