A little noob bf2 explanation needed

What do the stats mean when you press tab?

First means the total score you have gained from the game. Got that
Second is the team score you have gained. Got it
Third is.. what.. number of kills? often I get no points even though I kill someone
Forth is .. number of deaths? often i get nothing there even though I have died

anyone know why?

I think you know it better than I. And I'm not sure Im right about what i"m about to say. But just because you pulled the trigger and he fell down dosn't mean you got the kill if someone did more damage to him you may have got an assist. If you get killed and revive it aint a kill, watch the dialog Sometimes your wounded if revived its not a kill. But sometimes your killed (amount of damage??). Read the manual ...What?? It dosnt tellyou? well go to the website.. You say it dosnt tell you either??? Mabee you aren't privalaged enough to know. Mabee just mabee I'm not either. Fun game huh?? It dosn't matter because mabee your score gets reflected in the database and then again mabee it dosnt. Thats if your playing onm a ranked (hellhole) server. If it aint ranked we can finally say something IT DONT COUNT. If you were designing a game wouldn't this be a design goal? I mean you like to gamble right?

Well I know you don't get points for every kill when in commander mode. Also, it looks like people are ranking up in the games you play in and it may be that the server is messed up. I know our server didn't report stats for about 2 weeks, thanks Art Of War Central(worst.hosting.company.ever).

Death registers after you actually die, not when you're critically wounded.

I'm not sure why your kills might not be registering.

Pr0digy: that screen shot is of the kfc guy who got his stats reset by EA for stat padding.

I doubt its the server since I usualy just play on any server with low ping and 55+ players on it.

When I get kills I see in the log at the top that it was my kill. I'm actually more puzzled by the death bit, happens more often, and usualy in the begining of the round, at least I notice it then.

I think one of em's a revival score (for medics).

Global Points | Teamwork Points | Kills | Deaths | Ping

You don't get a death unless you actually die. If a medic revives you while you are critically wounded, it does not count towards anything.

That's weird.

You get 2 global points for every kill and get points subtracted for suicides/teamkills/teamwounding. That would show up in the teamwork points though.

As an aside: Next time you see two douchebags like the ones at the top of your jpg go mess up their exploiting asses.
