just got an order to build a rig for someone who didn't mind used gear to save a buck. so i made the move and swapped out the trusty slot 1 650E for a '700E guaranteed @ 1gig'. first time without rolling the dice. glad i didn't (after a misearable effort with a retail 750E flip that couldn't get past 850). i think i have finally milked an old Abit BF6 for all she's worth. this chip is a gem - does 1078 @ 1.9v w/ a gorb - case temp 70F, chip under load 101F (prime95). 128mb stick of mosel 143, 128mb cheap micron pc133 -7.5 all at cas 2. sandra says ALU=541, FPU=612 - not too shabby.
almost went the KT133A/Tbird route, but wasn't ready to spend my money - NEXT TIME! (AMD is the shinning path)
