a little internet help please

ok i just recently gave up on my last windows installation adn i reinstallled windows it was all good, i installed firefox my antivirus and firewall ect and all of a sudden i cant view any more webpages and i cant connect to anyhtin else that requires the internet for that matter( with one exception STEAM can connect and download like there is no problem) any and all help would be appriciated asap (i want to play GAMES!) oh and also on a related note when i go to play counterstrike it freezes at validating game info everytime any idea's on that one?

If you are using a firewall app, make sure you disable the Windows one. Are you sure also that you installed your network driver?

Um, not a General Hardware type of thing here

Start > Run > cmd for a command box. ipconfig /all to get your DNS servers' addresses. Ping them. Get a reply?

fixed it i feel so stupid gah lol evil HAHAHAHA no more alchol and computers they dont mix lolohh yeah this is general hardqware isnt it i thought i was somewhere else
