A little help with my P180 and a possible Scythe Ninja

Well, it seems that the rear fan on my P180 is dying, the whirring sound coming from it is giving me a headache to say the least. I wanted to replace it with one of these. The fan that is in there now is 25mm, and the Panaflo is 38mm, should I have a problem using this in my case? Is there a better suggestion out there?

Secondly, I was thinking about replacing my Scythe Shogun with a Scythe Ninja in order to get a little bit lower CPU temps while having quieter fans. Would this fan fit onto the Ninja?

Last, but not least, the Panaflo's come with bare wire leads. What connector should I use and is there any special method of installation I should observe? It says not to plug it into the dan header on the motherboard because it could short it out, would this really be a problem on my A8N-SLI Premium? If I could plug both of these fans into the motherboard it would help cable managment tremedously.

Thanks for your help!

The Pan you linked is a vibrator. I have one in my junk box. Really!
It was bought new drom SVC two months ago.

Go to your motherboard's web page and see what wattage the fan jacks can carry.

If you are going to monitor/control fans from the board jacks a sensor/tach wire is needed.
The Pan part#s that end in BX have this sensor wire.

I prefer 38mm fans if there is room for them. Bought wisely they are better than 25s. A
high quality ball bearing fan in 120x38 is my fancy. Sanyo Denki, Delta Triple Blade, NMB,
Nidec......

Read some of the HS reviews stickied at the top of the page. I like the reviews done by
silentpcreview and overclockers.com. They will give you an idea of air flow Vs cooling.

Wow, thats a great price for the Panaflo fan, but it might be a lil loud for a case fan unless you control the speed. I would say if you choice is set on this fan, just undervolt the fan but use adapters to hook it up to standard 4pin Molex. SVC carries the panaflo tail seperately here

The Ninja comes with clips for a 120mm x 25mm fan, so the fan you're thinking of wont fit. SVC has the shogun, but its out of stock. But if you want a good deal on the Ninja, Petra's Tech shop still has it for 39.99. Here. There are alot of reviews on the Ninja and they all say that this cooler is awesome. I would go for the Ninja with a 120mm Nexus fan.
