A little help with my new HD

I rebuilt my system using a Asusu PQ5 pro MB, Core 2 duo 8400and ATI 4850HD , 4 gig of ram and 2 wd HD one 300gig the other 500 gig. Vista 64bit ultimate


Problem is I cant find the 500 gig Hard Drive under Vista anywere. I want to use this driver for all driver downloads, pitures, games progams ect. and just keep the 300 gig primary drive for the os.

I can see the drive in the Bios and I saw the drive when I installed the OS.
I tried puting the vista dick in on boot up but it only gave me the option to install or repair the curent OS, I couldn't see any option to format the second drive anywere.

Would like any ideas as to what is wrong or what I can do to fix this. I am holding off instaling any other progams other than updates untill I can fix this.
