I have had my domain for about a yr now and can't decide what to do with it, I had a vbulletin forum on it, but the license ran out so I installed a different board software but my problem is how in the world do I get members to it, I have tried this several times and each time it ends in failure and I know it would work if it had members, so my question is how to get members, can't post links don't want to be spamming.

multiple previous failures most likely points to future failures. it's hard enough keeping a fast population of new threads on this site (no offense).

I truly believe if it had members it would work. Do I just need to start posting usefull threads in the forum to get it started, so people will have something to read and come too?

First off, thank you for not spamming.

Secondly you need content to draw people to you site. No content, no interest.

Third, you need a black hole for your forum. Everyone that posts here came here for different reasons, but are now stuck in the black hole's gravitational pull and can't escape.

Why you should people come to your site instead of the other great existing sites? If you can answer this queston, you have a chance if you can figure out how to market your site.

wonder if giving away some free custom maps to some games would help, me and my son created a bunch of them, for various games, what else could i give away, like free hardware?

Your website has no content, that's the biggest problem. A forum is nice but a site with content is what will draw people to the site (and then to the forum). Unfortunately there is just so much gaming content on the net that it's difficult to differentiate yourself from the pack.

See thats another problem, what kinda ideas is there to get content that draws people to the site?

My domain expires in a month and my paid hosting expired last month, now I have a month of free hosting to figure out if I want to go back to paid hosting and try agian or just let it go.
