Hey everyone, was wondering if you all could help me decide on a monitor here...
I'll be using it for everything imaginable, including gaming. I "think" I've got the decision down
to these choices....

Samsung Syncmaster 700NF(17"), Samsung Syncmaster 955DF(19"), or Sony CPD-E240(17")

They're all around $200, but am not too sure what to go with.

Any ideas/comments/horror stories?

I can't speak for the specifics of these monitors but I can say that a larger screen makes a big difference. Also you should check out the possible refresh rates at your desired screen resolution. I personally have a Dell P110 21" and had upgraded from a Mag 17" and its a world of a difference. This might also be obvious but of course look for a flat screen vs. a non flat screen, again the overall visuals its a lot better.

thats all i got for now.

I had terrible "luck" with Sony.

19" GDM-400 PS was blurry in general and stopped working after 2 years
The brand new replacement (not refurb), the CPD-400 started randomly blurring the image after several hours of work.

They are overpriced sh/t. I'd buy Mitsubishi. I would read professional reviews online before buying.

Thats pretty interesting - ive notice the dell p110 that I have has started blurring in the top portion of the screen - i thought maybe mine had problems cuz it was a refurb. The p110 is actually a sony packaged with a dell label. Any solutions on how to fix it?
