Good quality 350w PSU is enough for a standard PC. If you have eight dozen fans cooling your rig or 16 harddrives, that is another story. Your 430w Antec is more than fine.

People have reports of running it fine in shuttle PC's with PSU ratings of 250Watt and 300Watt. Youll be just fine, Nvidia is just being an idiot.

You can buy a pack from them that has a recommend powersupply.

nVidia was just being extemely overcautious and the internet wolves tore them a new one for it. I had a Tru430 and it ran everything in my system fine with a 6800U as long as it wasn't overclocked. When I started overclocking, I started having some problems, but I have a lot in my rig so I wasn't really suprised.

I'll add my experience for your consideration :) I had a 2yr old true330 die within 2 weeks of using my GT. It may just have been it's time, or it could be more than just a coincidence. I've been running it@431/.1ghz so it's possible the added strain contributed to it's death </shrugs shoulders> It did run perfectly in my SN45G wuith 200w ACHME for a week so that is the flip side.

Nvidia dropped the power requirements for the Ultra down to 350 so I'm sure a 380 should be fine.

They probably estimated high for the people who have the no-name PSU's.
If you have a quality psu (you would know if you did), wattage is less of a factor (often these are under-rated).

An well now that i know that my psu is ok....Any ideas on what brand or make of 6800 to buy. Ive had alot of good luck with BFG (the gpu fan did die after a year *shurgs*) I'm just not sure what to buy. All ideas are welcome.

BFG is good. Great warrenty on them. PNY isn't bad either now that they have made their warrenties 3 years instead of their old lame "life time" which is ussually less than a year.... Or even eVGA. They all about the same but if they cost the same amount go for the BFG.
