A Lil Help with an OLD digital Camera?

I have an old Kodak DC40, its a great old digicam and takes pictures well, but I can not get Win XP to work with it. The drivers available work for windows 95/98 and i was told that they worked in Win 2k, but for the life of me i cant get it to even recognize the camera in XP.
Please help i dont want to have to dual boot or keep an old computer around just for this but i dont want to spend money newer digital camera either.
