I don't see this going / spreading anywhere - but, good on him for trying.
#ONELESSVIRALCAMPAIGN
hope he destroys his car too. since he is more likely to kill someone with that.
What percentage of cars are involved in fatalities compared to the percentage of guns involved in fatalities?
there are about 256M registered vehicles in the US. there are about 300M firearms.
give some wiggle room, the fraction is about the same (number of fatalities per item)
it's not even about that. HE claims he was a responsible gun owner without any mental issues. so his gun is locked up or somewhere safe.
IF he is driving he has a far better chance of killing someone with his car then his gun.
You must be new to this country. In America, we like doing things that are ultimately meaningless.he didn't do shit. according to him he was a responsible gun owner. him destroying his gun does NOTHING about gun control or gun violence.
though i guess its a nice thing to do to get attention.
Hopefully more people follow his lead.
and hopefully it is those with illegal guns. but somehow i doubt it.
Guy has multiple suicides\attempts within his family, a murder suicide, and a co workers of his sister was victim of a mass shooting? Guy should probably lock himself in a padded room just to be safe.
Shall any of the responsible drinkers bear a portion of responsibility for those lives destroyed by DUI's?
Sure. I drink. I love drinking. I never drive when I'm drinking and I never drink when I need to be responsible. I've never missed anything through being hung over. I'm a responsible drinker.
I also recognize that I'm partly responsible for "drinking culture". I talk about how great some beers are, what great Italian red I was drinking, that cool French Calvados that tastes like bruised apple and caramel.
That's my culture, the good bits and the bad. I'm part of what supports the drinking industry.
