A LI....LO problem I think

A couple days ago I removed the linux partions from my hard drive but LILO still ran fine. Then I tried to use partion magic to consolidate all my drives but I managed to unrecoverably unallocate a whole half of my hard drive. 🙁 This was all a couple days ago everything was running fine then I noticed my floppy drive was broken last night (I have no Idea how long its been broken) and when I tried to turn my computer on toady all I get is the letters "LI_" (the underscore is flashing). It also kind of looks like the screen is flickering. Is this a corupted LILO thing and if so how do I go about getting rid of LILO and going back to the defalt win2K boot manager. I dont really need anything because I only have the one OS now. If this isnt lilo I may be in some troulbe but I would welcome suggestions.

I believe the LI means LILO is loading but it can no longer find the boot partition. You can probably get your pre-LILO boot sector back by booting off a DOS floppy, chaging to the drive that LILO is installed on and typing fdisk /MBR

This will restore your old Boot sector.

yea, fdisk /mbr should be able to dump it... or boot from the win2k CD and repair the boot sector... that'll take care of it too
