Ok so i need some advice. Here is what i am looking for and maybe someone can point me at the best choice. This is going to be my traveling laptop for work. The computer i will use for months at a time. Not that that really helps you

Here is a list of what it would be used for
-movies (720p) and tv shows. basically media
_gaming...dont care about setting but would like it to be able to play games like fallout3, DiRT, CoD: modern warfare. im not super into gamign but would like the option.

Only real "requirements"
-good battery life...4+ hours?
-decent sized hard drive (will store movies on it) so say 320+

Really thats all. I've looked at the best buy "blue light specials" but not sure if nay of those would play games fine or what. Budget wise i would say like 600-800 but could go higher (lets say 1k max)

You should easily be able to find something that meets those requirements. My ThinkPad R61 just about meets them and I paid $1200 for it almost 2 years ago right when Intel's 45nm mobile chips came to market.

For what it's worth... the only laptop/notebook I'd consider buying other than a Lenovo would be a Mac. I absolutely love my ThinkPad, even if it is a tad bulky. I've played WoW on it for 3-4 hours straight with it sitting in my lap and I think my lap made it warmer than it got on it's own running the game.

Try the HP ProBooks 4310s or 4510s depending whether you like 13,3" or 15"

8 cell battery: my 4310s make it around 7 hours of web surfinf + external hdd drive
Intel T6670, 2,2GHz 45nm CPU
ATI Radeon 4330 with 512 mb dedicated and 1,5Gb hyper memory. Runs ANNO1404, Call of Duty4 like a charm.
4GB ddr3-1066 memory and 320GB 7200rpm HDD
It's black sturdy and the keyboard is a dream!
