Yeah, it stunts growth. Because the muscles have such tone, that it inhibits bone growth by pulling too hard on them.
I saw that too, and that is the most disturbing thing about this whole situation. I admire that a kid can be motivated to train and eat so that he can have that type of physique, but it's hard to believe that he's doing it without mom and/or dad controlling his every move and parading him around to sell supplements/videos/whatever. Let kids be kids.Originally posted by: bolido2000
This is not fake. I saw this kid on Howard Stern show pulling some stunts. It pisses me off that the dad is living off his kid :disgust:

The stresses from weight lifting don't fuse growth plates, hormones (puberty) do. If stresses messed up growth, then kids wouldn't be allowed to run or jump. Jumping imparts a load of several times bodyweight on the legs, way more than any lifting would.Originally posted by: BD231
the ultra-low bodyfat could be detrimental for a growing child.
Not if he's eating like a body builder. Alot of that athlete like ability is genetic as well, I've seen small kids with tone that you normally would not see on a kid, but he's been working out since he was 5 (or 2?, can't remember) so I'd hope he'd be in the shape he's in, especially with a physical trainer(I won't argue on strength, he's strong for sure). Weight lifting dose stunt growth to a certain extent, but I don't think it's going to make him a midget or anything.
