There was a middle-aged man named Bob who was average in every way. He wasn't particularly good-looking. He didn't have the body that drove the ladies wild. His personality was rather dull. He was a loser by every definition of the word. In fact, Bob had only one thing going for him: his father was rich, and in very poor health for a man of his advanced age.
The one thing Bob wanted more than anything was to have the love of the most beautiful woman he had ever met, Susan. One day Bob approached Susan with a modest proposal. He told her how his father was soon to depart this world, and that with the vast wealth he would inherit he would like nothing more than to spend his life making her happy, if only she would be his wife.
Susan, being very surprised by the suddenness of the marriage proposal, gave Bob a wink and said she would have to think about it a while. She would call him later with her answer.
Days passed by and soon turned into weeks. Bob was naturally very anxious, and finally called up Susan; she wasn't home, so he left a message on her machine.
A little while later, his phone rang. Breathless with excitement, Bob nervously picked up the phone and said "Hello."
"Oh, hi Bob - it's Susan, your new stepmother..."
