A.I. The Movie Mystery

aparently there is a large underground for the movie, I am getting bored so I was looking for some info, does anyone know anything about it?

Yep. I know pretty much everything about it. It's a very interesting murder mystery that takes place in a Bladerunner type world of man and machines, where AIs fight for their rights and humans fear for their future. In the center of it all is a mysterious death that is yet to be resolved. BTW this 'game' seems to have very little to do with the actual movie so you don't have to worry about being spoiled. (It's also very well done)

You can start by watching the trailer here and noticing the notches on each of the letters in the SUMMER 2000 part. Write down the number of nothces for each letter and then call it. (It's a 10 digit US number; use dialpad if you don't want to pay) Let me know if you need more assistance, which you probably will.

Darn. I had hoped that the trailer would feature young Haley Joel Osment whispering earnestly, "I see artificial people."

Jazar, have you pursued this puzzle to an end? I don't want exact details, but I'm curious to know how much time I'm likely to waste on this if I get hooked!

It hasn't ended yet. There have been updates every week since mid April which kinda makes it a little harder for the newbies to come in but no fear there are plenty of resources to get the early starters up to speed.

edit - oh and as to the amount of time you want to spend is all up to you of course. Just read the sites that are shown and get lost in the world of AI. It can be very addicting though.

There is a very comprehensive 'player' made site with lots of resources and info ( www.cloudmakers.org ) but it's having server problems at the moment. The main gathering of people working on the game have joined the yahoo group here but I would advise against getting direct mail from this group as it gets at least 400 messages a day now.

There's also an IRC chatroom which is always full of people found in #evanchan at irc.chat-solutions.org or irc2.chat-solutions.org. The more people we have working at this game the better we are at solving the puzzles so climb aboard!

edit - GG, yes the trailer seems to indicate an updated 'pinnochio' story but recent trailers indicate that it's much more. Anyways the AI 'game' has nothing to do with the child (as least it doesn't seem to) and it in fact is set many years after the movie timeline.

I heard this was to be Stanley Kubrick's next project (after Eyes Wide Shut). When he passed away, Steven Spielberg (unlikely candidate to keep alive the Kubrick spirit) took it over.

i hope the legend of kubrick grows with this movie, or else i will completely hate speilberg. regardless of the movie content, i want it to reflect kubrick as it should.
