I thought the combo I bought included a stock HSF, but I was mistaken. Anyone recommend a few that will fit since I am used to socket A and the metal clips this motherboard has a black border around the whole socket.
You must have gotten one of those $90 Fry's deals. Any HSF made for Athlon 64, Opteron, socket 940, socket 939 or socket 754 would work. You can find useable ones for under $10 and some really nice ones for under $30.

It all depends on how much you want to spend on a HSF and what your tolerance is for noise. (dB)
XP-90 HS for $24.99 This doesn't come with a fan. But you should you have to choose a fan, you might want to try the Delta tri-blade series for low noise.
The maximum that board will take the CPU in BIOS is 2250MHz. You can get away with a cheap $10 unit if you aren't looking for the ultimate in quietness.
That inexpensive unit will keep your CPU cool enough, even overclocked. The heatsink is better than the retail box version because of the copper base and the 80mm fan is larger for higher airflow (not necessarily noisier either).
