Every f*cking morning these a$$holes (it's a family btw) make so much ****ing noise. Their kid screams at the top of his lungs for no god damn reason and he holds some sort of track and field event where he just starts sprinting all over the place and stomping his feet. This morning at 8:45 they must be putting on some of their Christian karaoke or something because i can hear their crappy music (especially the bass) resonate through their floors and they are all singing together. And they KNOW i f*cking hate the fact that they make so much noise in the morning because i've reported them on several occasions to the property management.

So for the last half hour, i put my bass speakers, laid the side with the hole flat on the ground, loaded up Rammstein, Rage Against the Machine, Steve Vai, Andrew Wk, Dr Dre, NWA, among other artists in my playlist and turned the volume and bass knobs all the way up.

I don't hear a peep from them anymore, funny how that works.

At my last place we had something similar happen. Our neighbor would play rap 10 hours straight with his sub on very loud. So, I loaded up some bass tests, jacked my sub up, the 3x8" powered subs I have in my center and surrounds, and my receiver up and played And Justice For All for the next 4 hours. He stopped doing that pretty quickly.

I hardly ever turn my system up loud, usually only during movies and I only watch 2-3/mo. Never during dinner time or night. I am very conscious of my noise levels.

Do you have neighbors on either side?

I did it in my room, plus i closed my door, plus the neighbors side is protected by a kitchen and living room, so if they were sleeping, i seriously doubt they heard it. My neighbor blasts his music once in a while (DURING NORMAL HOURS) and i can't hear it in my bed room.

On a saturday, it's VERY early.... on the weekdays they make noise 7 to 7:30-ish.

Ahahaha, i looked up "bass test" in google, and i found a bass test and THX page with tons of mp3's.

There's an mp3 called "THX - Bass Test - Very Loud.mp3 - 1:16, 128 KB/s, 1192 KB". This is going to be fun

Be careful with those bass tests. Don't play the with the volume cranked without knowing what they are.

We had an old cranky lady living downstairs at our old apartment. She got pissed when we ran the washer/dryer after 5pm :)

I would have called the police. More than apartment management, people fear being called out by the cops.

Try finding a single family home within 25min of midtown manhattan that doesn't cost millions.

I'll never understand why people can't see past the world they live in.

Great for you, but to where? How far out? I really hate when people think they know what everybody should do, regardless of the situation. Pretty ego centric and ignorant.
