True, but rage gives you something to while away the tedium of a long drive.

And sometimes you end up in a neat new area to explore courtesy of the fuckwit you followed for 30 min to yell at

looking at today's weather map of the USA, I'm ok with being in South Florida.

I left the country. I'm sure my MI friends are enjoying the pictures of me in shorts and a t-shirt I keep sending them

It's warming up here. -31 with no windchill factor.
LoL! I'd like to experience your weather some time. One day, I want to do jul in Finland. I might not ever come back. Hoof it over to Russia, and disappear. Russia seems like a good place to fly under the radar. On the fringes, the world's goings on probably have little impact.

Lol yeah I'll take cold over intense humid heat any day.

it was a bit nippy at 60 degrees, but it's end of December and I was out on the boat fishing tonight on flat seas. I can live with the humidity for year round outdoor activity.

Funny - the Coast Guard on Channel 16 is always droning on about turning to some station for updated info on security around Mar a Lago. It must suck to boat/drive around there.

Freezing weather sucks. You never hear people saying they're moving somewhere because it's cold there. But you hear plenty of people saying they're moving or have moved somewhere because it's warm and sunny there. For weirdos here who love the cold weather, Alaska is perfect for you guys. I hate the cold but I think it would be kind of awesome to live in Alaska. OK, maybe not live in Alaska but it would be cool place to visit.

It's supposed to be blistering cold here starting tomorrow. I'm not leaving the house for a week except to take my dog out to pee and poop. It's so cold in the US that some sharks are actually freezing to death. https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/...t-sharks-are-actually-freezing-to-death-vgtrn

Alaska is big, very big
Anchorage is usually nice in the summer with highs in the 60s and 70s, though records indicate mid 80s are possible. The winter typically will have lows around -10F, but sometimes goes down cooler (records show -38F)

Fairbanks is much more extreme, in summer, it will get into the 80s a lot, and even into the 90s sometimes. In Winter, it's common to see -40, and -50 is even possible.

Juneau is a few degrees warmer than Anchorage in summer and winter,

San Francisco has cooler summers (but no real winter to speak of, so no winter fun like snowmobiling)
Seattle also has milder summers (but winters appear to be mild too)

Scandanavia has places with mild summers and cool winters (but not bitter cold) patagonia does as well, but otherwise .. it's hard to find
