A hard drive LED... software based??

I was wondering if there's an application that sits in the tray and blinks whenever there's HD activity. Basically, it mimics the HD LED on the computer. There's gotta be something like this. It would be so handy for people who always remote into a computer, and wonder if the HD is working when the system seems to slow down or be busy doing something.

If not, I'm gonna have to figure this out and code it myself...but that's a pain.

O&O software used to have something like that for free. Currently they have O&O DriveLED V2.0 for $20.

Yeah v1 was free googled a little bit and found this link:

Interface does not look as good as 2.0 but it shud get the job done.

If that doesn work look at Samurize (http://www.samurize.com/), there maybe be configs. out there that do what you want.
you can easily make a 'meter' to do this by connecting it to the windows performance monitor, but you will have to confiugre each drive seperately......
