I can't even begin to describe how nerdy/out of touch someone sounds when they bust out with fallacies of logic. It just reminds me of children in grade school who have learned new words, and want to sound smarter than the rest of the class (except instead of children, it's people who've take their REQUIRED English class in college).

I like the standard disclaimers in people's statements. Like:

I could be wrong, but...
You should be able to bla-bla-bla. It worked for me. It might work for you.

actually it's more common to learn these in philosophy classes now.
