I went treasure hunting at the local Goodwill thrift store today. Scored a $5 Playstation. On the way out, a friend noticed something crawling across my hat visor (An AMD Athlon64 hat from QuakeCon 2003! w00t!).
It died pretty easily.
We were worried. I inspected the rest of my hat, shook my hair over a piece of paper, etc and didn't find another one. When I got home, I went straight to Google Image Search with the search term "louse" and it looks like it could have been some of the "slimmer" looking ones.
I just had a haircut three days ago. Wouldn't the hairdresser have told me if I had lice? I figured it could have come from the thrift store donations. Then, just as I was going to the forums to post, I checked my hat one more time and found another one crawling on the inside (Much smaller, extremely hard to see).
DEATH!
Now what? My head doesn't itch but my dog is scratching like crazy even with Advantix
Oh, and lice does not mean a person is unsanitary for those of you who like to stereotype
PS: A Google image search for "pubic louse" (AKA "Crabs") can be pretty disturbing too
