Sorry to hear that.

I also knew a guy back in high school who committed suicide too. I actually knew him, had classes with him. He seemed like a nice guy, even though he's a gangster.

I can't begin to express my distaste for your statement. :disgust:

ThePresence, I had something similar happen to me about a year ago. It's a sad thing. :(

I'm sorry there wasn't enough information for you. Do you want to hear every step of what happened as he jumped from the overpass onto the highway during rush hour? Sheesh. :|

it's his life, he should be able to stop living if he wants. but that wasn't a good way to kill himself. they need to teach classes in suicide.

Perhaps his 3 young orphaned children and his widowed young wife disagree. :|

My stepfather nursed his wife for 1 1/2 years before she died of cancer, he took his own life a week later.

My sympathies. I'm sure it wasn't easy for you.

I am so sorry. Even if you don't know the person that well, its such a tramatic thing to deal with. :(

perhaps they do. what's your point? you want to force people to live when they don't want to? maybe you can dress them next.

I am truly sorry. My cousin killed himself last September, and it wasn't an easy thing to deal with.

I'm sorry to hear this.. It's a sad thing when someone decides to end their life, and it's also a tough ethical question. It's a matter of personal freedom and responsibility, but also of obligation to one's family. It's also bad form to inconvenience others, should you wish to spectacularly remove yourself from this world in a fashion worthy of rotten dot com.

You're right. I'm getting the impression that was a bad idea to post anything about this on here.

No, it wasn't a bad idea to post, but not everyone understands how you feel about. My best friend killed himself February 22 1999 and I will never forget how bad I feel nor how easily I could have prevented it. I will also know that if I had reached out a little more or had more education about suicide at the time I could have helped him.

Being a pall bearer at a friend's funeral is not something I ever want to repeat. Losing my father in 1991 was also tough. Always remember how sacred life is and it isn't worth taking.
