And considering it was an off topic post on a basketball forum, it's even cooler. This guy is from the UK, BTW . . .

After World War II, the United States undertook the Marshall Plan to rebuild Europe, including Germany, and also rebuilt Japan. Japan's industrial strength came from adapting the principles of American Edward Deming.

The Arab world sits atop gallons of liquid gold. Many of the Arab leaders are Muslims. But tell me, when was the last time you saw a widespread, concerted effort to feed the hungry and house the homeless in the Middle East?

If these clowns put half the energy into taking care of their own and catching up to the 20th Century (no less the 21st Century) as they do hating the West, hating Judaism and enforcing religious persecution of their own people, the region would be in much better shape.

It's really time for the supposed peace-loving, main-stream Muslims to get their act together and deal with the extremists, and other social ills of the region. But of course, they haven't or can't, so others (the US, the West) try to.

It's a like a badly dysfunctional family that can't take care of itself, but screams brutality when the cops come in to take charge.

Link?

Oh, BTW - cutting and pasting an entire message is considered rude and a waste of bandwidth.

People tend to be selfish of nature, so if you're a dictator of a country with alot of resources, it requires alot of effort of that dictator, to keep himself from being selfish. Most people don't want to do that, and since there aren't that many people with immense wealth in the middle east, few funds get passed to good goals.
