A good television for tv program

HI, looking for a good Television for home use. Doesn't related to computer field.

I just want a good TV that is from 33" to 50".

What do i need to look for?

Is Plasma TV the best choice right now? Here in HK doesn't have HDTV support in the next five years(tv programs)

also want to keep it cheap.

Well then plasma is out of the picture. Otherwise, i don't have any reccomendations. Someone else will though.
