A good socket A fan

I have a 2800+ Barton, and I wanna buy an aftermarket fan+HSF to cool it down and make it overclock higher, but I have no idea on CPU fans and which ones are good and bad, do you know any good fan that might replace my stock CPU one?

This Alpha or this Thermalright would be two good choices. Just pick a fan that suits your performance to noise ratio.

What motherboard are you using? Also what case? SI97 from thermalright is "the best" along with a Panaflow BX L1A 92mm for quiet, or M1A for medium

The budget is no more than 50 bucks, my motherboard is a POS MSI k7NS2V (not sure about the model), and most importantly I don't care about the noise at all, I just need the coolest fan.
I have a generic ATX case (I guess it's the medium size)
If the fans won't provide something noticable over the stock fan then should I bother?

before shipping a High speed 92mm panaflo (FBA09A12H1BX) and the thermalright SI97 (at sidwinder) is $44.90 with tail. shipping depends on where you are. @35db, it'll likely be quite a bit quieter than your stock cooler, and will cool better by several degrees.

I like the Speeze Falcon Rock or the Thermal Integration V77L. The Speeze is inherently quiet, the TI usually needs a Fanmate or such - the Smart Fan feature on my new Abit mobo tames it pretty well.

Speeze is in the entry level right below thermaltake. Zalman and Thermalright (and Alpha) are the top teir best money can buy HS's.

The best out there is the SP-97
You might also look at the SLK-947U

COupled with any quality fan (I recommend Panaflo) super quiet and super cool.

Doesn't matter what their price is, the fact is that the Falcon Rock will keep your jewel cool (and quietly) for less than $20. And the V77L will also do the job and you can get that and a fanmate for <$20. Why pay more?

cuz he want's to OC, I have the speeze all copper model (2 steps above the falcon rock), it barely keeps my 2500+ at 2.1Ghz below 50C.

It's worth the price, that's for sure, but if you're wanting to OC better, it's not that much better than stock cooling, but it's a good bit quieter.

the speeze cooler I'm using on my 2500+, I had a falcon rock on it before, and this lowered my temps 2-3C further for only $2 more.

ALPHA PAL8045 with a YS-Tech 80mm (something like 60 CFM @ 38Db) fan, this is one of the best Socket-A coolers out there. This particular fan is very loud but very good at cooling. I have tried a number of other fans and all cool very well but as usual, more CFM = better cooling (most of the time.)

To be fair, I have experience with heatsinks from Alpha, Thermaltake, Cooler Master, stock AMD, and Thermalrights, though only a few models of each and that does NOT include the SP-97.
