Hey whats up every1! Im building my first gaming pc and I just need a couple more parts and im done, i started the build in March of this yea and I ve been getting the parts little by little. Now its time for a HD, PSU, OS, and monitor. What PSU would u guys recommend for me that im on a budget and that it can run what i got right now? I really appreciate it for the help guys!! Thanks!!

If you look in the FS/FT forum, there are some cheap 5870 cards there.

The Corsair is a good PSU, and so is my personal preference, a Seasonic X-650. The efficeincy curve on this PSU stays above 90% from low the low 100w area to 588w. That's a really wide curve to be above 90% efficient. The power from that thing is extremely clean and stable, and it's a relatively quiet PSU on top of all that.

Gaming, i'd go with a true 120Hz LCD - they are fantastic and worth the money for enjoyable faster paced gaming.

For a mouse, pick up a 500-1000Hz poling rated mouse

Windows 7 64 Pro OEM

Sorry but Corsair PSU's (aka rebranded Seasonic) is OK, and much better than your average cheapie power supply but... You cannot beat a solid Enermax PSU.

Quite the hike in price if you can afford it, but excellent... and I mean excellent PSU's with a step above in construction and extremely quiet - I'd go with silent actually, even at full load.

Only in your opinion 😉 That TX PSU is a cheap piece of garbage FYI.

As an example: I passed on an old P35 board, CPU and RAM combo to my younger bother recently that was previously running off of an Enermax 625watt Modu80+ and would run solid at 3.9ghz (Core 2 Duo Wolfdale CPU) and 8GB of ram - ran without a single crash for over a year straight. Rock solid in every way.

My brother now owns this combo, and I decided to keep my PSU for a different system I used to hook up to my TV/stereo - he swore that these Corsair 650 watts were great PSU's... well, not so much. He can only run at 3.2ghz and has to lower his ram speed for stability with 8GB.... the ONLY difference was this cheap power supply 😉 Go figure right?

Lol I'd believe you there except I don't. PSUs just supply power, if that power is within ripple and voltage limits, there is no difference which psu you have in this case. Overclocking results are completely non-applicable here unless the psu itself is supplying bad power, obviously it is not.
